Gilberts has been registered to train chartered accountants for over fifty
years. We pride ourselves on the breadth of training we provide, which gives any
newly qualified accountant a good foundation for a successful career.
Professional Stage
The Professional Stage is divided into knowledge and application modules.
The knowledge modules are: Business & Finance, Management Information, Accounting, Law, Assurance and Principles of Taxation.
The application modules are: Business Strategy, Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit & Assurance and Taxation.
For the Professional Stage a minimum of two application papers must be taken at the first attempt and students are expected to be successful at these papers to enable their training to continue. The remaining four application papers are then usually taken at two sittings. Five weeks study leave is given for the first two papers and ten weeks for the remaining four.
If you have an accounting or business related degree, you may be able to apply for credit for some of the professional stage modules.
