Gilberts cover the costs for all first examination attempts, which includes tuition, exam entry fees and travel. Each trainee has a two month probationary period after which a three year training contract will commence. Trainees have regular appraisals with the Training Partner and training records are reviewed to ensure the correct level of progress and variety of work experience are being achieved.
 
Trainees are entitled to four weeks holiday per annum. Salary levels are reviewed annually with additional increments based on exam success.
 
Regular social events are held by the firm including ten pin bowling, golf, rounders and meals out.
